Church on The Hill was founded as First Baptist Church of Riverside in 1874. It’s building was located in downtown Riverside until 1965 when the new facility was built on Alessandro Blvd. The First Baptist Preschool began in 1967 and in 1973 the church built Mount Rubidoux Manor (located downtown), providing apartments for low-income seniors. Early in 2019 the name was changed to Church on The Hill to reflect the new changes both internally and externally to better reach future generations.
