Do Something You Don’t Have To Do

A movement is a group of people working together with a common goal. Movements have the potential to make big changes in our lives and the lives of others.

The movement we’re part of at church is following Jesus. Besides believing in Jesus, there’s something we can do to be part of this huge movement: start serving others.

Serving means to do something good for other people that helps or benefits them. When we serve others, we’re joining in the movement Jesus started to bring something good into the world.

Serving is easier to choose when we can see how it benefits us, but when we approach serving this way, we’re missing the movement God calls us to be a part of. If we want to learn about what serving is supposed to look like, we should look to what Jesus did, said, and how He treated others while He was on Earth.
