It's About Doing
Have you ever heard the term counterfeit? It basically means something that’s fake but is still pretty close to the real thing. There’s even a way of doing faith that can feel a little “counterfeit.”
Our hope is that during this series, you’ll take a step toward a real, honest, personal faith of your own.
What does a counterfeit faith look like? Maybe going to church because you want to be seen? Maybe it's talking a certain way or using “church words” to sound cool. Maybe it's believing something because your parents believe it. Or, Maybe, it's being one person at church but being a completely different person at school.
Part of becoming an adult is moving from a faith that’s someone else’s to a faith that’s your own.
In this series, we’re going to look at how people grow when it comes to the spiritual side of life and how God moves our faith from something we hear about to something we live out.
God wants you to grow in your relationship with Him more than you do. And sometimes trading a faith we are copying for a faith of our own is more uncomplicated than we ever would’ve imagined.
