Everyday Faith
Just like any other relationship, one of the biggest differences between a counterfeit faith in God and a real, personal faith is the consistency. Sunday faith is good, but a real faith is an everyday faith.
This brings up an excellent question: How do you have an everyday faith when church only happens once a week? The simplest answer is this: Habits.
Spiritual habits aren’t just good ideas, they are repeated actions we can do that will actually enable us to grow closer to God.
God wants a relationship with us more than anything. So, the habits aren’t designed to replace our relationship with God—they’re designed to bring us closer.
There are habits that can help you know God better. They can help you build a real faith of your own. Spiritual habits include things like praying, reading the Bible, doing acts of service and much more. That’s the beauty of a habit: what seems like work at first becomes incredible over time.
Sometimes it feels like there’s a disconnect between God at church and God the rest of the time. What we’re going to talk about today will be helpful for all of us, not only in the way that we connect with God on Sunday, but also in the way we connect with God every day.
